Accessibility
The accessibility features of this website include:
- The use of Valid HTML (check it)
- The use of semantically correct HTML to structure the content for all devices
- The use of common browser behaviours (underlined links in obvious colours, standard form elements etc.)
- The use of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to separate content from design
- The use of visible "Skip links" on every page to skip past the navigation information to the main content when using mobile phones or assistive devices such as screen readers
- Consistant page labelling between navigation links, titles and headings
- Alternative text for all important visual elements
- Accessible forms for use by any device
- No "Self referencing" links (apart from Comment "Permalinks" which are technically in-page anchors anyway)
- The use of user-friendly and appropriate page addresses
- We've done away with the ridiculous www. prefix that most sites use, the website (except maybe on an error page) will always force the plain no-www address
